Introducing the central library, museum and document center

Kharazmi University was established in 1297 as the central educational institution. With the passing of a hundred years since then, it has undergone many changes, and as a result, the library has witnessed many changes, and now it is located in two campuses of Tehran and Karaj under the name of Kharazmi University. The library is also located in two sections, in Tehran and Karaj branches. The classification of the library was changed from Dewey to the classification of the American Congress (LC) in 2013-2014, and equipping the library with software facilities (Sana library comprehensive software) and providing electronic services are among the improvements of the central library, museum and document center of Kharazmi University.

  • Tehran campus; From the beginning of its establishment, it was located in the Parvin Etsami building, and in 2014, it moved to its new location, the first floor of the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences.
    This library has an area of 370 square meters and contains approximately 70,000 information sources, and this number is increasing every day.
    Currently, there are 4 academic libraries in Tehran. The library of the Faculty of Financial Sciences, the library of the Faculty of Management, the library of the Faculty of Economics, the library of Dr. Musaheb Mathematical Research Institute

       
  • Karaj campus; It was located in the administrative building from the beginning of its establishment and moved to its new building in 2015.
    This building is built on six floors and has an area of 7250 square meters.
    One of the sections of the library is located on each floor. Dissertation section (Parsa) and brothers study hall on the ground floor, Persian and Latin book lending and reference section on the first floor, Sisters study hall on the second floor, conference hall on the third floor and administrative section, cataloging and discussion rooms in It is located on the fourth floor.
    This library contains approximately 150,000 copies of information sources and is added to this collection every day.
